since 1980, our warehouse complex is one of the largest
of its kind in Ohio.
Located in Painesville,
Lake County, Ohio, our complex of three warehouse-style
barns contain an incredible array of quality used furniture
and antiques, quality glassware and collectibles, plus an
huge range of everyday glassware, household goods, bric-a-brac,
household appliances and electronics.
Founded by Bud
Welch, the complex was originally part of the Mantle family
fruit farm. This orchard provided Painesville residents
with delicacies such as apples, peaches and grapes. Bud
later purchased a portion of the fruit farm and found himself
tinkering with the hobby of barn sales, specializing in
miscellaneous household items and tools. Hence the birth
of the name Miscellaneous Barn.
Over time, Bud
and his family found themselves working with estate sales,
and further specializing in antiques and finer collectibles.
Today, the Miscellaneous Barn Complex has grown to three
buildings, two businesses, and thousands of square feet
of furnishings, collectibles and everyday household items.
